The USISPF convened its IX Leadership Summit on June 29, 2026, in Washington, D.C., themed America@250, just a week before the United States marked 250 years of independence. The summit reaffirmed the strength of the U.S.-India democratic partnership, with conversations spanning defense cooperation in the Indo-Pacific, trusted technology ecosystems, resilient supply chains, energy security, and next-generation manufacturing. Key officials in attendance included special envoy U.S. Ambassador to India Sergio Gor, Indian Ambassador to the U.S. Vinay Mohan Kwatra, Canada’s Ambassador Mark D. Wiseman, Under Secretary Jacob Helberg, and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.

Senators Mark Warner and Steve Daines were honored with the USISPF Distinguished Public Service Award for their steadfast support of the U.S.-India strategic partnership, while the 2026 USISPF Leadership Awards recognized Christopher Calio (Chairman & CEO, RTX), Sunil Bharti Mittal (Founder & Chairman, Bharti Enterprises), and Prem Watsa (Chairman & CEO, Fairfax Financial Holdings) for strengthening economic ties between North America and India. The evening also marked the formal launch of the second edition of USISPF’s coffee table book, We The People – 250 Voices, honoring 250 individuals whose contributions have shaped this remarkable bilateral relationship.
