Harman Singh is a Senior Associate with the Energy, Environment, and Infrastructure team at the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF). In this role, he facilitates strategic engagement between government and industry, advancing dialogue on all things energy including renewables, oil & gas, thermal (coal), nuclear, biofuels, hydrogen, mobility and infrastructure. His work encompasses policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and the design of initiatives that strengthen U.S.-India partnership, supporting both nation’ energy security goals.
Prior to USISPF, Harman worked at the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) in New Delhi, where he focused on carbon pricing instruments such as carbon markets and border carbon adjustments. He has also worked with the Planetary Security Initiative at the Clingendael Institute in The Hague, analyzing the nexus between climate change and security. His other professional experiences include internship stints at Climate Group and The Dialogue in New Delhi.
Harman holds an Advanced M.Sc. in International Relations and Diplomacy from Leiden University, Netherlands, and a B.A. (Hons.) in Global Affairs, specializing in Economics and Foreign Policy, from O.P. Jindal Global University. Outside of work, Harman is a passionate footballer, having played the sport competitively from an early age – and is now keen on pursuing adventure sport, adding a new dimension to experiences.
