The U.S.–India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) welcomes and appreciates the Government of India’s decision to rescind the QCO on Flux Cored Solder Wire. This step is part of a broader series of ongoing regulatory reforms, with several QCOs having been withdrawn over the past two months, underscoring the Government’s pragmatic and forward-looking approach.
The withdrawal of the QCO on Flux Cored Solder Wire is a timely, pro-manufacturing measure that ensures uninterrupted access to a mission-critical input for key sectors including electronics, semiconductors, EVs, telecom, defence, medical devices, and precision manufacturing.
This decision also reinforces the Make in India initiative by enabling domestic manufacturers to remain globally competitive and export-ready, while advancing Ease of Doing Business by removing unnecessary regulatory friction on a specialised, low-risk industrial input.
