U.S. Grains Council and USISPF hosted the inaugural U.S. – India Biofuels Summit 2024 in New Delhi. Since the launch of the Global Biofuels Alliance under India’s G20 Presidency, the focus has been on working towards biofuels as a cost-effective and attainable energy transition strategy.

The U.S.-India Biofuels Taskforce under the U.S.-India SCEP is a bilateral forum where industry experts provide sharp insights on best practices to leapfrog biofuel adoption. Honored to have U.S. Ambassador Eric Garcetti provide the opening remarks.

A busy week in Washington, DC with the World Bank and IMF News spring meetings. On the sidelines of these meetings, USISPF was delighted to host  Dr. V Anantha Nageswaran, the Chief Economic Advisor (CEA) to the Govt of India.

Dr. Nageswaran touched on India’s economic performance and future trends, particularly the growth outlook for the previous and current financial year. At a time of global economic headwinds, India bucks the trend and continues to be the fastest emerging economy, estimated to grow at near 7-8% .

The conversations focussed on the priorities, vision, and areas of partnership across the respective ministries and departments.
